The MJ Show #63 (Classic Albums - Led Zeppelin I-II-III-IV)
63 shows and not a song from Led Zeppelin. How is that even possible I ask myself. This is something I must rectify I says to myself...and rectify it I shall! Tonight!
For those who may not know Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals, harmonica), John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards, mandolin), and John Bonham (drums).
They went on to record some of the most incredible music and have been one of the most influential bands in the history of rock n roll music.
Their live performances took the concept of live shows to a whole new level. They were truly one of the first few "Gods of Rock."
The band have sold over 200 million albums worldwide, including 111.5 million certified units in the United States and they have had all of their original studio albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard album chart in the US, with six reaching the number one spot.
Their first 4 albums were arguably their best albums and tonight I thought that I'd make up for the error of not having featured them before by giving you not one, not two...but four classic albums in one show!! (It's almost like having 4 shows packed in one!)
Tonight, we'll take a look at the epic albums - Led Zeppelin I, II, III and IV (The album didn't really have a name on the cover which is why most fans called it Led Zeppelin IV, following the naming standard used by the band's first three studio albums. The album has also been referred to as Four Symbols, , The Fourth Album, Sticks, ZoSo, Untitled, The Hermit, Runes, or simply, IV. )
Now what I'm going to try to do is, give you live versions of all the songs on the albums but if I can't find a live version then I shall give you the studio version of the song. Why? Because you NEED to hear them do their stuff live. It's something else!!

Hope you had a blast with these 4 brilliant albums! DO listen to all the songs. It's just not fair to a band like Led Zeppelin if you listen to just the hits. You've got to check out all their work to see how brilliant they really were!
In any case, that's all I have for you tonight. :)
It is now time for me to say...take care...and good night! :)
This is your Musicman Mihir...signing off!
