I've always loved country music and of all the country singers I love, I think my #1 man would have to be George Strait. I love his singing style, the songs he has and I think most of all the man himself. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and I think that's a reason a lot of people all around the world gravitate to him and his music. But forget all that. Irrespective of how he is as a person, there's one thing that's absolutely undeniable...the man is a superstar with more #1 hits than pretty much anyone in the world.
George Strait holds the world record for #1 hit singles with more than any other artist in the history of music on any chart in any genre. As of 2010 he has amassed an astonishing 57 #1 hits.
Strait's 38 hit albums (12 multi platinum, 22 platinum and four gold) rank him behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
